Research Methods in Historical Demography Summer School, Barcelona 4-8th Sept 2017
Dear colleagues,
The Association of Historical Demography of Spain and Portugal will hold a summer school in Historical Demography in Barcelona from 4th to 8th September 2017. The course aims at providing tools for the construction of Databases in both transversal and longitudinal designs, as well as teaching the main analytical techniques currently used.
The school will be taught by the best researchers in historical and contemporary research and will include presentations by Anna Cabré (Autonomous University of Barcelona), Elisabeth Engberg (Centre for Demographic and Aging research at Umea University) and Anteiro Ferreira (History of Populations group from Minho University). The school will be taught in Spanish, but any person that understands a little bit of Spanish can join it. The school will accept any kind of social scientist, and previous knowledge of statistical or demographic methods are not required.
