The AYHD presents: our new board
It’s been a while since the latest post on the AYHD website, and a lot has happened since then.
This past year has been a time of change at the Association for Young Historical Demographers, as an entirely new board has taken charge. It consists of Louise, Elisabeth, Mathias, Joris, and Mads. There has been a round of presentations on Twitter, but if you missed it you can get to know us over on the board page.
Last week the new board met up in person in Copenhagen for a few days to get to know each other and talk about all things AYHD. The mission statement is still the same, and we will continue to work on bringing together junior scholars who investigate historical demographic processes. We want to continue to expand the unique community where young historical demographers can exchange questions, ideas, and experiences with like-minded peers in a not-too-formal way.
We want to take this opportunity to thank the former board (Tim, Evelien, Sarah, and Michael) for all their hard work during the past years. Each of you have gone above and beyond to make the organization a success. Thank you especially for being so generous with your time and knowledge during the gradual transition from one board to another.
To all the young historical demographers out there: We are looking forward to meeting you all at conferences and events in the future!
